My kid loves apple and pb for snack, this is a great way to serve it. I enjoy it too for a snack at work, adding the nuts is a great idea. I like my organic PB

I would try to alter it a bit for me. I would use organic honey with pecans and sprinkle with organic coconut flakes. You could use honey butter, almond butter, or whatever you like. It a base for creativity.

I do not like peanut butter at all, but I always made my kids apple and peanut butter for years and this was a nice healthy twist and they loved it!

LOVE apples with peanut butter! I got the idea from my son's K-5 teacher a few years ago and we have been enjoying it ever since. I never thought about adding the nuts, though. Thanks for the idea, I will have to try it!

This sounds like it would taste awesome! (I love apples or bananas with peanut butter.) However, this is high in calories, fat, and carbs relative to the protein it offers and the fiber it provides. I would love to be able to eat this, but I can't in a body composition cut phase. :( There's an awesome product by the food manufacturer "Wonder" called Better 'n Peanut Butter. (http://www.betternpeanutbutter.com/nutrition.php) It is made from defatted peanut flour and is only 100 calories per serving. I love when I can get a hold of that stuff; however, I have trouble finding it. The product website says my local Trader Joe's stores sell it, but I haven't found it on the shelf when in store. :( I imagine that on small apples with nut shavings or raisins would substantially help make this a more diet friendly food for me.

tasty, but far from being high protein. To get a little more protein you can use almond butter rather than peanut butter.
