An unexpected drop. I guess this means I'm not plateauing yet. :D :D It's nice to see the progress in the numbers but the real progress to me is in the simple fact I'm noticeably less… mammoth sized, even to my eyes. Things are fitting looser and was even able to wear a belt that was too short a month ago. In addition, as i have mentioned before, the mind is feeling sharper and more focused making the fast paced chaos that is my work a bit less stressful.

I’ve worked to greatly reduce the amount of artificial sweeteners I consume but cutting out diet sodas, pops, cokes (depending what part of the US you are from) as well as stopped using splenda stuff at home when I have tea, only using a teaspoon of erythritol every other day or so when I simply want a bit of a sweet taste. Aside from many things I’ve read indicating that artificial sweeteners might sabotage weight loss in a number of ways, I figure if its something ants won’t eat, then perhaps I shouldn’t be eating it as well. :P

Anyway, here is to progress and sticking to the plan. With focus and some luck I’ll see the 300 mark before the end of April. I hope everyone has a good day and remember to so something, any little thing, that moves you closer to your goals.

Good job! I'm doing the same thing trying to cut out pop and stevia from my coffees because I agree with your thought process.

awesome job! not sure what your personal way of eating allows but I order honey sticks for my tea there's about a teaspoon in each stick and it's just the right amount of sweetness I'm on a break cause I'm trying keto now so that natural sugar is a temporary no no but if it's fits into your current weight loss plan it's a great little way to sweeten up your tea

It’s a great idea to get off the artificial sweeteners. I keep it in my cupboard only to use in baking Very rarely. I try to use vanilla as a sweetener sometimes. Once you are off you will probably develop a strong dislike for the stuff. Good luck on your journey.

Good move on the artificial sweetener, I don't totally shun them, but do limit them in the occasional diet soda I drink, I usually go for straight black coffee instead. When I don't eat sugar, I don't want sugar, I've had a life-long aversion to fruit, I would rather have something savory.

thanks all! I've never had a 'sweet tooth' and my only sugary thing I consumed was sodas. I cut out that sugar source (switching to diet soda's) long ago because it was one of the first things I realized made me feel blah, even when coming from fresh fruits (even though I love pineapple and oranges). I figure it time to take another step to keeping consumption to things that actually fuel my body so ditching the artificial sweeteners makes since in my head at least. I'm still going to have the occasional Mt. Dew (diet) when gaming... might risk losing my OG Geek card otherwise. :D
