Ok so, my weight has been all over the place today and I don't know what to go by. I weighed at about 8am and it was 1 Pound down. Did some cleaning around the house and weighed again 2 hours later and it was 6 pounds down. Weighed again an hour later 4 pounds down. Who knows! So, I have decided to log a 2 pound loss. ?? We'll see what it says by Monday morning which is my regular weigh in day.

I have honestly got to get my obsession with the scale under control. But I wake up every morning looking forward to getting on the scale. I do know it's ridiculous.

So when you clean upstairs, throw the scale out the window! Lol I quit ww for that reason, I would hate weighing in there. I think it's hard not to obsess we want the weight gone NOW! I weigh about once a week at Publix's or the drugstore Good luck!

weighing yourself every single day multiple times a day is pointless because of basic water retention. weigh yourself once in the morning because that will be the most accurate reading. then, slowly ween yourself off of that dirty habit! once a week.

I agree that weighing yourself multiple times a day is pointless because it is just plain inaccurate. But if weighing yourself once a day keeps you motivated and meeting your goals, then I would keep doing it. it does help me to stay on track because I can see when I've slipped. that said, sometimes you will register a gain on the scale when you have followed your plans faithfully. Be gentle on yourself and know that that is just regular fluctuations

I know what you are saying - I weigh once in morning and I take it with a grain of salt - Your weight aspect , in my opinion , is shown better week to week - Weigh daily but don't beat yourself up - Day to day will drive you nuts, and believe me I still fall into that - After all, you doing something about it now - Great Job - Abigail above good take -

Congrats on the drop! I started weighing in once a week also the scale drove me crazy

Hey Ironfried5! Yes. I've been counting calories since July 10th and I'm down about 42 pounds. I'm still a pretty big girl (264#) but feeling good about my progress. First week I ate only 1000 calories a day just to get myself under control. Eat 1100-1500 a day now with the exception of my periodic cheat days which have gone up to and maybe over 2000 calories! Anyway, I'm good. Just wanted to share my crazy scale woes with my partners in weight loss/healthy living! I might need to move the scale out of my house. Kicking Ben and Jerry's and the scale in the same year may be more than I can do. Lol😉

Looks like your doing a great job. I agree stick to your once a week weigh in. My scale goes all over the place when I get curious through a day as well. It's torment!

Idk if this will help you, but my scale is put up and out of sight during the week. I only get it out on Saturday mornings. Also, I agree with what others have said. If you must weigh in every day, do it only once and first thing in the morning, before eating or drinking anything.

I look forward to my morning weigh in also. My scale is digital but when the battery gets low it sometimes seems to vary. If I think there's a problem, I weigh several times to make sure I'm getting the same number. I have experimented weighing again after having just a quart of water with 1T ACV and 1 t lemon juice. Yes the scale goes up a bit. So on Wednesday, my weekly weigh-in at TOPS, I don't eat or drink anything until after I weigh-in. I believe in daily weigh-ins once a day first thing in the morning because when I get to Phases 3 and 4, I'll need that information. I believe UCLA did a study and recommended daily weigh-ins for weight management. I can't remember if 2 or 3# over goal was time to take action that day.

I weigh in only once, first thing in the morning after urinating. My scale is a mechanical balance beam like from a doctor's office. No batteries!
