One week since I was diagnosed with diabetes... Working hard on educating myself and re-commiting to healthy eating and daily exercise! I can do this!
129.3 kg Lost so far: 35.8 kg.    Still to go: 38.6 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Wow, that's a big thing to deal with! Type 1 or type 2? I'll be saying a prayer for you. Don't worry, you'll be able to handle this! ^^

Type 2. My fasting blood sugars were at 267. And my a1c was 11.3! They did put me on Metform... but I don't have to take insulin (YAY!) I am determined to do what I need to do, through diet and exercise, so that I can reverse this as much as possible!

I am right there with you! I was diagnosed on May 23rd of this year, so just a few months ago. I could not get in to see my endocrinologist for almost a month, so had to do a lot of educating on my own, a lot of research and trial and error. My A1c was at 9.0 and when I was tested at the 3 month mark I was at 6.0, in the normal range. I am down about 35 lbs so far. You can do this!! I have done this through diet and exercise, You sound like me. I know you can do it!
