Have you tried taking magnesium? Find helps me so much with the sleep. I got it advised by naturopath. I’m on 20g of carbs. Didn’t find it affecting my sleep, it always was crappy haha

Thanx, SHH! I take a combo pill of Calcium, Mag & Zinc which has 167mg plus another Mag dose of 200mg. Mag really helped with chocolate (and sweets) cravings! Might need a higher dose tho suspect I just need to move more to get physically tired :)

PS: I envy those that sleep well on low carb-keto-carnivore! I did low carb most of 2019 and my sleep was minimal, fragmented and horrendous! I did lose 50 pounds!

It’s so interesting how differently we react to same diets! I think low carb was meant for me, I feel so much better on it. With sleep tho I find being tired helps a lot. I struggled with sleep schedule since I was a kid, going from not being able to sleep a lot, to periods when I slept 21 hours straight. Few months ago my work schedule changed, from 9-5 to 7.30-3.30. I wake up much more rested, I guess something about sleep cycles and in which phase I wake up, but also most of the days I’m tired by 8.30-9, which definitely makes it easier to fall asleep without any aid.

I have trouble sleeping no matter what I eat, at least I've never made a connection with food. Insomnia has been my nemisis for years and years.

No gun. It also can be hormones. A friend of mine stopped waking up amped up at 4 am when started taking Testosterone shots.
