under 200! im trying to weigh myself only every two weeks now to see if im able to maintain or lose weight without the exhausting all day every day monitoring. ie have I made enough good eating habits to keep this up without extra effort? so far in june ive lost half a pound in two weeks. so that is good I think because ive been going out to dinner with friends, going to sporting events, reintroduced alcohol into my meal choices and have stopped preplanning my daily calorie intake, rather I just eat when im hungry and keep healthy snacks prepared and handy. im still tracking what I eat when I can. Im pleased to see that I didnt gain weight over this two weeks and now im feeling proud and motivated to see what the next two weeks will reveal!
90.5 kg Lost so far: 24.2 kg.    Still to go: 22.5 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Thank you Lee-Erin! I just had a bad experience so your words really helped pick me up. I was out for dinner with my friend and his wife. We ordered dinner and a couple of drinks (I had gin and soda with lime). He said How come you arent drinking wine? I said "Because im staying away from sugar and all the wines on the list were not dry enough." He said "Good for you watching your carbs. You might lose some weight too. It looks like you've gained a few pounds lately." I said nothing. I was crushed. Ive lost over 50 lbs and he says I look like ive gained weight. So I guess ive got a lot more work to do. I know im doing this for myself but it hurts that my family and friends dont recognize my accomplishment. Your encouragement reminded me that FS Community cares and will help me to keep on track.

I've tried monitoring everyday for a while but the weight shift and changes too much from day to day to really be helpful, so I stopped. I still managed to loose 50lbs in arund 2 years. Seem long but I dont want to rush it and gain it all back up. I'm instead trying to get a more healthy lifestyle and get healthier overall.

Good job and attitude! I think it is hilarious how the scale has no respect for a good plan… I actually can’t resist watching them go every which way but down every day for 10 days and all of sudden a big drop relative all the drama. And you can never tell which day is going to be the “ONE”. But, that’s just me. I get why it would bother “normal” people. StomachMonkey’s has it right when he says that consistency in the diet is the secret to the mystery. :) DV
