This weigh in is legitimate. I went a scrolled through and saw there’s another that says +0.2, but I’m not sure what that was. The app does strange things sometimes. Anyway, that’s beside the point. This is what my actual weight difference was from Friday, April 7 over Easter weekend until this morning, April 10. +15lbs. That being said, I had a ton more carbs, sugar, sodium and just total volume of food than I normally do, so I do expect this to be a “blip”. And I do expect to be back to my normal weight range after 3-4 days of clean eating and exercise. But these are the real numbers, no joke. Remember, this journey is not a linear one. I expected this result when I was having more pie, and another beer. Some goals are mental/emotional, while others are physical. Both are required to be a healthy person overall. This weekend I was focusing on family time goals. Now it’s back to body composition goals. Just remember, when chasing them, the scale isn’t the only metric to judge progress, and in fact it’s one of the worst. Eat well, train hard, and don’t forget to stay hydrated, friends!

Currently accepting guesses on my next weigh in after Easter consumption followed by a clean few days. Don’t worry, you can’t offend me! I’m from the 1970s! Guess away, and hold me accountable to my goals! 😜 For context, here are my last 5 weigh-ins: 04-04: 162.4 04-05: 161.3 04-06: 161.3 04-05: 161.5 04-10: 176.4 I’m hoping most of that is last gain is due to sodium and carbs causing me to hold some extra H2O. I guess on Friday, we’ll see how much of a difference a week can make…and how much water vs fat I’ve picked up during my overindulgent weekend. 🍻
