davidsprincess's Journal, 01 Feb 23

The month's report. The good news is I made it to lift 20x out of 31 days. It's not the best attendance I've had but it is better than I've done the last year when I averaged only 8-9 times. I also recorded every bite I took, every single day... even when I knew it was visible to others, even when I knew 6 Donuts is not a normal breakfast, even when I was hitting over four thousand calories. So I have the exercise and calorie counting down and now I need to get the food consumption under control. Started the 1st of the year at 230. Starting today 2/1 at 221.8. I had already hit that by January 7th so essentially wasted the whole month by over eating. I don't feel like remeasuring right now. My clothes don't seem any different so I don't anticipate any big changes. Praying I get my act together this month. I've got a hot date for Valentine's Day and would like to feel a bit more confident. One month wasted. Here we go February. Time to do better.

Your month sounds like mine as far as he weight loss. I lost most it,maybe all of it in the first week and then struggled the last week of the month. No gym for me and not enough walks, and I can blame all the rain storms the first 10 days of the month. Hopefully February will be better but it is shorter.

Wow Princess! Thank you for showing me you have to keep moving forward even if it takes a couple of times , I’ve done the same thing with my weight down then up so trying to get back down where I was over 2 weeks ago . You inspire 😍

I appreciate the recap, I’m going to copy this idea! It’s helpful to look back and see what trends need changing.

great job on the recording and going to the gym! and even if you self sabotaged some days, you still ended with a loss. let's kick feb's ass 💪

Good idea to look back and I also take measurements even if not much has changed to see if there are any changes from one area to the next. Just gives me a good idea. I am not great about taking pictures!

New month is here! It’s not a waste if January helps you in February. Hot dates are the best 😊

I love that you are making goals and changing old habits by being accountable! It cracks me up when others say things about our own food journals ( in a negative way) we have all been there in some capacity. Heck over the holidays I was eating 6-10 cookies a day. That led to more carb and sweet feasting and so on..we are all human and I hate when people act all uppity. You are doing what you need to do! Keep moving forward and know you have lots of support!! 💜💪

Diana - that is so funny on the cookies. I would put them in the freezer to try and stay out of them but then I was still eating them frozen!

What's done is done. May the Lord bless you as you move forward with your goals.

You still had a great loss! I feel like that often too looking at time wasted. Like the last 10 years going up and down so much, hitting my goal several times then gaining it back with injuries or life trials... but the awesome thing is that this set back is helping you get more motivated and you are heading in the right direction! And you are thinner than last month!

Good job! You took off a lot of weight in January. Awesome!

I wish we could keep our food journals private only because at least one member likes to critique our food choices while not posting their own

You got this!!

I wish I could just mute them. They can look all they want. 😆

I think you've made great progress in January. Sometimes progress starts in your head before it shows up on the scale. Looking forward to February!

Fritzy I agree they should not critique someone else's food journal if they are not even posting their own. Plus I don't think any of us should do that becasue we are all on different paths for different reasons. Now if someone asks for the opinions of other I think then anyone can at least offer one. For example someone was asking about night time snacks and I read thru them all looking for new ideas for myself! LOL

Great start to the year DP! Momentum to keep going and building on January’s success!

Redporchlady - I don't mind when someone comments about my food choices when I've mentioned them in my journal.I wrote about trying not to have too much added sugar in my food choices and that I was eating Campbell's tomato soup for lunch. Someone commented on how much added sugar was in the soup. I appreciated that. I don't like comments "I was going through your food entries and noticed that....."

Fritzy - totally agree! I have learned so much out here from fellow FS users!
