Fritzy 22's Journal, 06 Nov 22

I made chicken stew yesterday and forgot to log food after logging breakfast and planned snacks. But I am pretty sure my protein was ok. Leftovers today. We are expecting our first rain storm of the season tomorrow and Tuesday. Hope it really is a storm. We need rain so bad.

The weight goes up a little, down a little. It always happens when I break through a 10 pound weight or "decade" that the next day it's up again. Today it's back down. I seem to be eating most of my food early in the day and then just having beverages/water after noon or 1pm. Now with the time change it will be dark at 5pm!

I'm thinking about skipping my walk today. I still have some pain - it's in my right buttock. I don't think walking is the cause but I have tried jogging on a couple of my walks. Just 100 or so steps but maybe landing harder on my feet is what is causing the pain. I'm really too heavy to run right now. It's so cold outside and I haven't turn the heater on inside yet so it's cold inside too except for the room with the space heater. So I don't want to use ice for the pain and I'm not sure if heat will help or not, but heat is what I'm using.

Take a rest day and enjoy your leftover chicken stew. I prefer heat unless I am just hot then cold is ok but most always heat! Hope it passes soon!:)

I am sorry about your Rt. butt pain. Hopefully, it goes away soon and you feel better. It is necessary to listen to what our body is telling what is going inside body. Symptoms and signs are body's languages. You are a good listener to your body. So, take enough rest and well-balanced diet for healing. Your body deserves respect and care with love.

Thanks Navywife and Anne. I just went out for a walk without Bobby (he didn't want to walk, silly dog). I am just so motivated to get at least 8600 -11,000 steps in and knew it wouldn't happen unless I walked. I had about 4200 steps before leaving and got home with 8400. Walked slow, about 30 minutes and on mostly level ground. I just feel like walking shouldn't hurt me. I am pretty sure it was the jogging that jarred something and that's why I am hurting. Years ago I would run 4 miles most days and I just have to accept that being obese and 67 doesn't make running a good idea. I will take it easy the rest of the day. It will be dark by 5pm or so tonight!

I use muscle rubs a lot and they really help.

Yes, it became dark at 5 pm when I was in a park for walking. I use a medicine patch for muscle sore and usually it works well.

Thanks Morticia and Anne - I'll ask the pharmacist about what kind of rubs or ointments, etc to use for pain. I have something that is a liquid that rolls on and it does help once applied. Never remember the name. It's dark now at 5:20 and the feral or stray porch kitty was waiting for her food. Usually gets here right before it gets dark at night and before it gets light in the morning.

You are so motivated! Love it! 💪👍 Wonder what was up with Bobby not wanting to walk? One of mine can’t get out fast enough but the other one will hide!:) lol They can be funny.

Thanks Navywife - I think Bobby thought it was time to eat. I feed the cats first, put their food on the counter in the master bath (otherwise Bobby will eat it) then go fix his food. Just before going on the walk I had opened a tiny can of Fancy Feast for the kitties because they were driving me nuts and sometimes it's just easier to give in to them. But it was still about 2 hours before dinner time for them all. Poor Bobby.
