gingin40's Journal, 27 Oct 14

I have had a few stressful days last week. Through the stress, I am finding peace in walking. At first I thought walking an hour a day would be hard to accomplish. Now I am grateful that I stuck it out. I love the time I have to reflect and concentrate on my well-being. Tomorrow, I'm going to go shopping with some friends, so I'm hoping the retail therapy will start off a great week! Have a great day everyone.

Mine too, it's great, especially if it's beautiful weather outside. If it's cold I walk faster and that's great exercise. Have fun shopping tomorrow :-)

I read the other day that a half hour of walking three times a week has the same effect as taking antidepressants. Sounds like a plan to me.

I hear you I did walked every day from Ash Wednesday to Easter for lunch and a park walking path and it really helped me to get centered within myself and go back to work with more energy. Excellent choice to get moving and helping yourself stay motivated. I always believe that you must have a strong mind, body and spirit to succeed in anything you do.

I also find that walking is therapeutic. There is always someone looking to join me but now I'll walk 2x once for me.
