Another new low today after a good week with hitting my lower protein targets. Additionally, though not intentionally, I managed fewer calories, though that wasn't my goal. I just haven't been as hungry.

While reading Keto Clarity, the author Jimmy Moore, an expert on Ketogenic diets, said that 1-2 meals a day becomes commonplace and IF (intermittent fasting) becomes easy and effortless and makes ketosis (fat burning) far easier for the body.

I thought, "Yeah right. The day I don't eat 3-4 times will be the day die." But I have to eat those words, pun intended. When I have a meal with high ft content, it's unbelievably filling and satisfying, unlike any other way of eating I've ever experienced. It's hard to explain. Yesterday, I ate at 1PM because that's when I got hungry, and I didn't think about food again until 7PM, when I had 2 oz cheddar cheese, then I went to bed at 8:30 because I was tired.

One premise of the book is "Eat when you're hungry, drink when you're thirsty." I take it one step further: "Rest when you're tired." LOL. I listened to this premise, and not I'm at 1+ a snack meals per day, and not because I'm trying to be, just because it works out that way.

It's resulting in fewer calories and slightly better weight loss. Here are my weekly weight averages for the last month ((I weight every day of the week, then add up the days and divide by 7, thus allowing for a bad day without freaking out):

Week ending: 09/06/14 - 197.25
Week ending: 09/13/14 - 196.25
Week ending: 09/20/14 - 194.50
Week ending: 09/27/14 - 193.75
Week ending: 10/04/14 - 192.25

If my math is correct, that's an average of exactly 1.25 pounds a week, and my average daily calorie intake for September was 1740/day. I wasn't even killing myself at the gym, either. Just 3 times a week, plus daily dog walks.

I'm going to keep doing this until I reach my first goal of 180, then immediately jump into my second going of 150, no stopping. At this rate, I should reach my goal of 150 by July 1st, 2015.

This is the first time I have been able to accurately project for well over 6 months and it feel pretty good. I'm so close to my first goal of 180 (losing 100 pounds), that the last 30 shouldn't really be that bad.

I'll leave you with this amusing remark. When people ask me how much weight I've lost, I tell them this: "88 pounds. That's equal to a 12 year old girl. But don't put out an Amber Alert, because I don't want her back!"
86.9 kg Lost so far: 40.1 kg.    Still to go: 19.3 kg.    Diet followed: 100%.

You've inspired me to lower my protein, I completely missed the page in the Keto Clarity book, now I found it, and it makes good sense. This is why this forum is essential, we learn from each other. Well done on the loss, you're doing great!
