I had 15 glasses of water (12 oz) yesterday and I wore a path from my bed to the bathroom. I only lost .02 pounds yesterday with 820 calories consumed and a 45 minute hard workout. Damn I was hoping for better. Does anyone know if the Banana Shake or the Wonder (Cabbage) Soup is in the library or do we enter them seperately. BTW I added 2 Jalapena Peppers when I prepared the soup on Day 1 and left it sit in the Fridge until today and man-o-man is it some kind of spicy! Here to better results tomorrow. Oh yes and if anyone is interested my Blood Sugar at bedtime last night was 4.9 (took no insulin) and awoke to 5.4...WooHoo!

I know, tough drinking that much water! My soup is spicy too, but not as much as yours! Curious about your blood sugar readings. Is that your hemoglobin A1c? I'm in medical field and normal value is 95 to 100 or so. Just wondering!

Hi Bierll in Canada and most of the free World other than the USA we measure our blood sugar in 10s and USA measures in 100s. I do know that a perfect BS measure in both countries is as follows 125 mg/dl in the USA is 6.94 in Canada. Roughly doing the math take the Canadian number and multiply it X's 18. So if I reported a BS reading of 9.0 to you it would be 162 mg/dl. Now back to your question on my A1C, on my last visit to my Endo my A1C was 13.58 or 245 according to your standards which is absolutley terrible. My Endo freaked and as a result I made the decision to get healthy. Diet and exercise is the only way I know to reduce Glucose in the blood so here I am at FatSecret making my way back so I started this venture (to save my life) on June 10th with a BS reading of 28.8 or 518.4 mg/dl (don't panic) it took me a couple of weeks of good solid eating to get my readings below 7.0 or 125 mg/dl. I realize that in the USA you are deemed a Diabetic once you reach an A1C or 95 mg/dl we are a little more lienient in Canada and if you can maintain an A1C reading <7.0 you are Ok. So I am sure that with my readings in July and so far in August my A1C when next taken will be between 5.0 and 6.0 and if I can get there by losing 100 pounds I plan on staying there until I exit the Planet. Thank you for asking and please know I would like to add you as a buddy. Please let me know.

I'm so impressed that you are so committed to your new healthy lifestyle. Yes, USA does measure things differently, for sure! You seem to really have a handle on your diabetes - that's great. You have lost 25 pounds since June? That's awesome. I would love to be your buddy on your quest for health journey. And I bet you do get those 6-pack abs!
