So, I ate a few Birthday Cake Oreos last night......and then kicked my own butt in my night workout after a long stretch at the dog park. So now I'm sore (a good sore though), BUT the Oreos are almost gone, they must be gone by Sunday!! Sunday is when our 24 Day Weight Loss Challenge starts so all bad food must be gone by then, other than some chips that's all that is left. And they are Kettle Cooked chips so those can hang around, in moderation of course after the Cleanse portion. The only reason I have any bad food in my house ever is we have people over often from back home and they always want munchies. I really have no problem resisting (I really do love fruits and veggies), it's more of a "I went them gone" kind of thing. And I am always trying to get hubby to eat a little better, so munchies in the house are counter-productive.

Anyway, I went running this morning, well, I TRIED to go running this morning. I have a bit of a respiratory infection so I only made it about 10 minutes before my chest started really hurting. It wasn't toooooo bad though, so until I kick the cough 10 minutes with walking before and after is my goal for a total of half an hour before work. Very do-able if I say so myself. Sleep sure sounded better than running this morning though...hehe :)

I'm pretty excited for this challenge, it's the AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge, I am an AdvoCare advisor so I've done it multiple times but this time I have 10 people joining me so I'm pumped for them. I'm excited for them to see the change that can happen in such a short amount of time when you really stick to it! I'm not a big product pusher, but I really do love my AdvoCare and it works so I'm excited to share it with them! Plus it's motivation for me to kick it up a step out of this maintenance phase I'm kinda in!!!

Good luck on your challenge. I too have snacks in my pantry that are there because of guests. When they come over, mostly just once a week than I join them and eat some junk food. Otherwise I'm not tempted to eat chips, crackers etc because of the high calories and salt. I prefer candy anyways.

I'm a carb-eater for sure: crackers, chips, breads, granola bars....don't get me wrong, I LOVE candy (I work in a chocolate factor for goodness sakes!) but I love salty carbs...oh yeah....I could never ever do Atkins, I would be miserable...kudos to you Atkins-ers!

Good job taking care of those Oreo's! I am a carb addict too. Anything starchy and salty. I did South Beach in 2009 and dropped 40 pounds like magic. The plan is a lot like Adkins and requires a gradual replacement of carbs into one's diet. Back came the carbs. Back came the weight. The second and third time I tried South Beach my body said, "no thanks" and held onto the weight with a stubborn grip. I remember Advocare. The wife of our son's basketball coach was a representative back in 2004. My hubby and son sampled a few products. Have a GREAT weekend!

I can tell when I've had too much sugar, my stomach has always been a little sensitive to it...like when we were younger, I always got sick after having KoolAid...until they came out with sugar free...I have to have sucralose, which I'm A-okay with anyway because it's much better for you than regular sugar...

Yes, this whole eating better & losing weight thing is one HUGE challenge, & it lasts a lifetime! You're actually lucky to be sensitive to too much sugar. I wish my body was that sensitive, hee hee! Good luck on your weight loss challenge, I'm on the sidelines rooting for you, & eating healthy snacks. Don't worry, I'll save some to share with you at the Finish Line, LOL! ;) Glammer

i have been on advocare since the day after memorial day and have lost 26 lbs and feel so much better!
