Slept 9hrs total. 3.5hrs last night + nap of 5.5hrs today from 410pm to 10pm.
BM yes.

Weird day...care-giving elderly parents can be so stressful at times. 925am, after only 3.5hrs of sleep, I had to pick up my Dad to take him to a denturist appointment. When that happens we tell my Mom (who is 100) to stay in bed until we return. After Dad finished his appointment, I went to the small local market to pick up some grocery items they had run out of (eggs, milk, bread). Then we drove back to their home and got out of the car about 10:15am. I could smell something burning from their driveway. We rushed in and found Mom at the kitchen sink trying to clean the black soot off their teapot, and with the whole house reeking with smoke. She had gotten up and made some tea. We will never know if she went back to bed or what, as she has lost her short-term memory. I got them both into bed under warm blankets, and opened up all the windows and doors to air out the house.

I also put masking tape signs on each of the stove, toaster, coffee maker reading 'Her Name, DO NOT USE STOVE', etc. And I headed home.

Then later in day at 230am I had to pick up my Dad again, so he go pick up his permanent dentures. Mom was napping and refused to come with us but promised to stay in bed till we returned at 3pm. Thankfully she stayed in bed.

I headed home at 330pm. I sat at the computer to do some bookkeeping, and fell asleep in the chair!! I went to have a short 2 hour nap and ended up sleeping through my phone alarm and woke up at 10pm. The day is over! I ate my Greek salad at 11pm. Now I am full of energy when I should be going to bed.

Well that was a rambling journal... with no real point other than to say it was a 'weird day'
