onefatdragon's Journal, 05 May 14

I am starting my diet and exercise regiment on Monday May 5, 2014. I had a shocking visit from my doctor who has told me that my triglyceride are at 440 and i am now diabetic. i am over weight have acid reflux and sleep apnea. I have not taken any medications for anything but have been prescribed new meds for treatment.

My personal goal and desire is to completely remove my need to medication and devices and to become health and feel better.

I am sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I believe whole food can help you. Buy this book, "The EatingWell Diabetes Cookbook: Delicious Recipes and Tips for a Healthy-Carbohydrate Lifestyle" by Joyce Hendley (ISBN-13: 9781581579284) -- loads of info about diabetes mgmt, stocking your pantry + fridge, and great recipes to boot!

I don't know if you have ever read the book..Sick and tired of being sick and tired by Dr. Young...He also wrote The PH Miracle...I had similar issues and when I went on his plan....it reduced my triglycerides and diabetic symptoms..I have had friends that have no longer had to take their diabetes medicine, one friend stopped having acid reflux..and one of my friends went to his ranch stayed for awhile and her cancer went into remission...so I think there is something to his theories about what we eat creates unbalanced akaline and acid levels in our bodies. His PH miracle book is really interesting and very informative..He has one book specifically for diabetics..Good luck and I know you can do it...You are heading for a NEW adventurous future!

Thank you LuC2 and Jayalove2, I will look into those books and see what I get from them. Most of my whole food experience comes from 3 documentaries (Food inc., Food Maters and King Corn) seen and the research I did on the internet. this is what made me chose into looking at a whole food diet and seeing if it might work. I enjoy getting book, movie and website recommendations. Thank you so much.
