59Carol's Journal, 27 Mar 21

This is a wonderful turn around weigh in. I had gained in the last two weeks a total of 2.6 pounds and I was very concerned about the trend. Today I have lost 2.8 pounds! I am so very pleased.

First of all, I am pleased because I correctly identified the problem and with great suggestions from the group came up with a workable sustainable plan.

Second of all, I am tracking how I am doing by the total month with the goal of losing around one pound a week. This month I lost a total of 0.6 pound - a win because I thought I was going to show a month where I gained. March 2020 I gained 4 pounds and I didn't want a repeat of that. I have logged a loss each month in 2021 and that is a streak I do not want to break!

I want to especially thank Rckc, JustBananas, and Shirfleur for their helpful suggestions. Because of things they said, I now weigh my roasted unsalted peanuts each morning put them in a custard dish on top of the peanut container knowing that when it is gone, it is gone. Since doing that I have left a little each day which I weigh and take off my tracker! I also cut up two apples and sprinkle cinnamon on them each morning as a snack that is instantly ready to eat. I have also found that I don't eat all of it but it helps knowing that I can!

Non- weight things in the past week - we celebrated my father-in-law's 90th birthday in a small 8 person gathering. In our Euchre tournament my partner and I beat my father in law for first place. Quite a feat as he is a master player! I made the best rolladen I have ever made for our supper! It was the first time that my family got to see all my renovations so that was exciting!

I have had my granddaughter staying with me the past two weekends to help get her caught up on her school work. I really enjoy her company!

Well done Carol, glad I could help. Now I just need to follow my own advice, as I've been eating way too much of the wrong foods lately. Onward and downward! 💛

Carol - that all sounds fantastic - I love the one pound a week commitment because it is realistic and healthy. And yes, I actually weigh everything before I eat it. I like to know before I even track it. Be well and enjoy!

I truly appreciate the cheering section. I literally did a little dance when I shared my progress with my sister! Debbie - I was thrilled to hit a new low even by 0.2 pounds! Even better I will be getting my blue line again!
