DO N OK's Journal, 05 Jan 21

My son passed away from covid, 1 week before Christmas, Thank you everyone for your concerns, so I know I was stress eating. I need to get back on track, and watch it, have not been going to gym, as many do not wear mask and we have a county policy to wear inside buildings but LA Fitness does not enforce it, even manager wears his under his chin., So I'm staying away from there for awhile, no longer doing training, but I'm playing pickleball more..I'm in a Funk, but will need to get back to the Diet.. And I'm DO N OK this week !!1

I'm very sorry to hear of your son's passing. It's good to hear that you are sticking to your routines like playing pickleball. Getting out in the fresh air and sunshine to exercise will check many boxes and at a time when you need it most.

Do give yourself some grace and wiggle room to process your lose. I’m sorry you have to go through that. Parents shouldn’t have to bury their children, it’s the most painful thing. That being said, I am inspired that you are taking on the challenge of a healthier you! May you be blessed in mind, body, and spirit!

I am so so sorry for your loss. Take care of yourself first. Not that the healing will ever "end" but we'll be here to help with weight loss when you've got a better handle on it. Stinks your gym doesn't enforce the mask like it should, but agree with Les - hope you are able to get outside for exercise instead. Sending good thoughts! 🤍 🤍

oh my goodness. first I am deeply sorry to hear about your son. I can't imagine but I believe not sticking with your weight plan is completely ok. DO NOT stress to much on your progress. I say maybe walk outside or find a youtube video on walking at home. stay away from junk food if possible. Sending much love to you and your family.

Sorry for your loss! LA Fitness will let the members get away with mask, as long as they keep paying... It's all about the business. We have to take care of ourselves. Sending good thoughts.

My girlfriend lost her 47 year old son to COVID the end of October. My heart aches for both of you. Thinking of you and prayers. There are FaceBook groups for parents who have lost children. You might want to look for one if it will help you to talk with other who have lost a child.

Sorry for your loss. I too no longer go to the gym. My home routine includes dancing to all my favorite oldies. I enjoy remembering what I was doing back then. You can really work up a sweat. Good luck.

So very very sorry for your loss. As I’d tell anyone, take your time and more importantly take care of your emotional health first. Anyone would be in a funk if they’d gone through what you have. You have all our support <3
