Another loss, finally. I've been an emotional roller coaster after my Doctor's appointment over the phone almost 2 weeks ago. He wanted me down to 340 and I only hit 380. I just didn't feel like I could lose 75 pounds in 3 months and I did the best I could and got a huge lecture and it made me go off the wagon awhile. He acts like I don't know I'm fat..trust me I already know. He ignores that I'm no longer on medication for diabetes and have my A1C down to 5.0, my HBP is under control, and I feel better. I keep telling myself to ignore him, do your best, be HEALTHY first, and the weight will follow.
172.9 kg Lost so far: 27.6 kg.    Still to go: 91.3 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

with numbers like that you obviously are doing something right. do not allow the doctor to alter your progress. if the doctor does not make it easy for you to communicate with shop around for another doctor. there has to be a good interaction between doctor and patient otherwise you as team won't get the job done. and the job is for you to be the healthiest person you can be. might be time to hire a new team member

Congratulations on the loss, you're doing great. I agree with deborah, if at all possible, find a new doctor, this guy is toxic! Keep up the good work, you have made such wonderful progress! 🌟🌟🌟

And if you can't find another doctor, tell this guy that you need his support and his attitude is not helping you succeed, you need some positive reinforcement from him. 💛

🎉🎉🎉⭐️🤓 there you go focus on one day at a time. Do the best you can. Ignore negative attitudes and stay positive you got this. You have made progress. Remind yourself to love you everyday.

Stay with it - do not let the doctor discourage you. Use his/her negativity as fuel to reach your personal goals! I had a doctor tell me I was "too fat" and I lost 50 pounds by the next year's visit! That shut him up!

I have what I consider a large health care team supporting me given all I deal with. I've had providers that I've had to let go of because they were not supportive of my overall health and my goals. You are doing fantastically... you deserve all of the cheering on of your team on your journey!! Remember... you are in charge!!

Angel, your Dr probably thinks he is helping you by giving you a lecture, but instead it is having a negative effect. Think about what he has said and look at it as constructive criticism. He only wants to help

I think you are doing a great job. The important thing is you are losing. Lecturing you is definitely not helping. He kind'v sounds like a jerk! I know it might be hard to find a new doctor during this time but please try not to let his negative remarks get to you. You are getting the right support from this community and I think it's really good that you are reaching out instead of bottling it up. Maybe later on a female doctor might be better for you. Anyway, keep up the good fight. You got this girl!!! 💗

I am trying to teach my daughter the good eating habits I never was (she's 6) and one thing I am always telling her losing weight isn't the ultimate goal, being healthy is. I'm so sorry that your doctor was an ass. You are doing a phenomenal job, keep up the great work! 🥰

I’m sorry to hear your doctor was unkind to you. 75lbs in 3 months is an insane amount of weight loss and it’s healthy that you are losing at a more reasonable pace. You can do this 💕

Time to get a new doctor. 75lbs in 3 months is NOT healthy weight loss. .5 to 1 lb per week is reasonable and sustainable. I don’t know how you eat, but whole food, plant based, no oil, meat or dairy, starchy meals will get you there. You’ll always feel full and sated. Check out Dr. McDougall Starch Solution.

I have had a few doctors in my day talk very condescending and rude to me about my weight. I guess they didn't want me as their patient. I did not go back to them. I paid them to treat me and that doesn't mean treat me rudely. If they're going to be rude they can find somebody else to pay them. I called them a schmuck

Here is a thought fire your doctor and find another one. The only reason I lost any of my weight (yes slowly) is I went to my diabetes doctor and her nutritionist and god bless them they did not chastise me for Morbid Obesity. They worked well with me encouraged me in it has taken almost tow years but I lost 136 lbs. I started FS after I lost weight already. So don't let your doctor discourage you 75 lb weight lost is not healthy by any standard. It would come out to roughly 8.5 lbs per week. I did that kind of diet 30 years with the "Diet institute of America" I lost 145 lb in six months. bad news is once I stopped going to them and the gym everyday I suffered the ballooning diet for the next 28 years. Now I am with a good doctor and nutritionist who I believe is sincere about helping me lose the weight and maintain control. Good luck and God Bless do what is right for you.
