Did well until 9 p.m. at which time I tacked on an additional 2000 calories of shit. Today will be my first at home gym day. I mapped out a little program and it'll take an hour. Walk /ran the last 3 days. Yesterday was 65 and today it's 29 degrees so that's not gonna happen.

Yesterday morning we had a 22 degree windchill. It didn’t warm up much and we still hung gutters in the cold lol. Not fun! Bet you feel good after your workout today!

Yeah- I've done fine all week- calorie-wise but just surrounded by a ton of junk food and gave in. No big deal. A little irritating but I still can't bring myself to care about my weight. I think if I ever truly started gaining and got to 190 I would lose my mind but this is just the same back and forth so I am ok with it. Yes-BK- Thankful for the TP. :)

Now that most everything is closed as far as entertainment goes and being stuck at home brings all that snacking that boredom causes. Don't be mad at yourself. It is tough when you are surrounded by food. I still buy snacks for my husband, and get into them myself when I am bored.

You are running!!! Good for you! How is your breathing? I'm up a bit. Not crazy and won't let it get crazy, but darn this is a stressful time. Easy for me to slide into bad habits... I think we are all fighting to make good choices during a frightening time. Hugs ❤️

How is my breathing when, Melissa? When running? Not great. LOL. Actually it is much easier than it was when i would attempt at 240 pounds. I literally can only run for about 2 minutes straight and then walk and then start again. Thanks, Tim! Give me running tips. :)

Yes! I meant your breathing while running! Give it time and I bet there will come a day when you will be running and feeling like you can just go and go! Even for this old girl it happens sometimes!

DP I used C25K app, couch to 5k. It helped me pace myself. I used same when I trained for 10K. I can’t stand running but it’s good mental training; bitch keep going lol. My legs are lungs are fine but my mind tells me I can’t. Ugh. We got this. 2000 kcal of shit? Love it. I love shit too 😂

I isolated myself early, so it's been two weeks since I've been out of the house. Last night it really hit me hard, and I've been sleeping most of the day today. But, I didn't work this hard for the last twelve months to give it all up now. You can do better and so can I. These are tough times, but we are tough too!

Being married to Diablo- you have to live with "shit" all around. The difference is that he is CONSTANTLY in motion and burning calories. I'd rather not be. HAHA- so I usually do quite well or he takes it to work but he was off last week for a spring break trip that never occurred and there it all sat. :) Swedish-I'm going to try that. Were you able to do the 10k without stopping? I'd love to be able to get to a normal pace and run without stopping for a long time. Currently I am barely more than a fast walk. Can't wait for warmer temps.

Thanks, Shirfleur! It'll be ok. So to all the runners- am I supposed to be breathing in through my nose and out through my mouth. Is that really a thing and does it matter? I can google it at some point, I suppose.

My experience for what it's worth. For one thing I usually breathe through my mouth because I often have allergies, so not sure it matters, I just breathe normal. When I first started jogging I jogged very slow, it might have even looked ridiculous. I concentrated on finding a pace that made me breathe as normal as possible and I slowed down if I got tired. In time I was able to jog, my goal 30 minutes or more and as time progressed I went faster. I know that if I could do it you certainly can.

In the nose out the mouth is how I breathe. If I can't manage that, I slow down. That is sort of my measure. I can run miles nonstop on the flat, but that only exists on a treadmill around here or a path by the lake. Everything is hills otherwise. I jog up the hills, speed walk down the steep ones (to save my knees), and run when it is flat. And sometimes I just have to gasp and walk! 😁

Thanks, Ireland and Melissa... How long did it take you girls to build endurance?
