Followed a recipe I found online this weekend, Ukrainian beetroot broth/borscht. Hell, it was glorious. It does take a few hours to make it which can be complicated for those who don't have time... but it's really tasty, full of nutrients and it's even better the day after! I adapted the original instructions a little bit but it was great nonetheless.

Kenna, give it a try, it was quite easy actually. The only problem, it was Baghdad just after because I don’t know how to handle the propagation properly when there are so many ingredients to cut.

I made beet soup once. It was okay but I still need to play with it. Perhaps I will give this recipe a try. Looks amazing!

There must be hundreds if not more recipes for borscht. One thing I find is essential is that dollop of sour cream on top. I like it really plain, just a broth made of smoked pork hocks and add to that tomatoes, garlic and beets. And a good spoonful of sour cream mixed into a bowlful.

You are right but there should be cabbage there for sure. And I wonder about the spelling, there is no t whatsoever in any Slavic language. Total mystery.
