Alnona's Journal, 04 Oct 19

I know I said I would only weigh in once a week, but today was important. I went to the doctors and found I have advanced arthritis in my L2 thru my S2 and advanced bursitis in my left hip and the beginnings in my right hip...in essence, my back and hips are severally compromised. It's my own fault, the obesity did it's damage. I'm hitting therapy this week and I started up my gym again(regardless of my Hubby's wants). I'm upping my calories and lowering my carbs, I refuse to be crippled by this condition. I've also changed my goal weight and I plan on hitting in no later than my anniversary on Feb 14, 2020. Thank you all for supporting me and I would love to hear from all of you. Advice is always wanted and needed. As always have a healthy day 🙋

Good morning. I hate that about the arthritis and bursitis. On the bursitis, I had that and they gave me an injection for it. Helped tremendously. Good going on moving forward. You have to do what is best for you.

Sorry to hear about your health issues. My weight is up by over 25 pounds from where I was in the spring, and I can really feel the difference in my knees. I hadn't realized that they were feeling BETTER until they started hurting again. Sounds like you have a good plan for getting that extra weight off. May you have the strength and determination to accomplish your goals!

I've had a lot of success at a PT clinic that uses connect therapy as the basis of their care plans, they evaluate how your body moves through space. I have an easy therapy routine that I do every morning that helps me keep moving. The big piece that I have learned the last couple of years is to keep moving, but make sure that you don't overdo it. It's a super fun balancing act, but you are nimble enough to do it. Pain is no fun, but you can slay it, just keep at it, if something isn't working, move on to something else. Advocates for yourself and keep pushing for help. And now I'm going to go roll around on my tennis balls. 😉🤗
