I originally contracted Lyme in 2009. It was a year of really bad stuff. Close to organ failure. We finally knocked it out and it took a year of coaxing my body into any kind exercise at all. I got up to 260. The following year which I started on FatSecret and lost a lot of weight, making it down to 216. Then in the winter of 2017 I started feeling bad. By spring I knew something was really wrong and went to my doctor. Lyme isn't supposed to be a reoccurring disease. It's a bacteria not a virus. It's been shown in rare cases that the bacteria somehow goes dormant and then in stressful conditions reactivates. I tested positive for the antibodies May 2018 and fought it with doxycycline for 3 months. It worked. I've been riding my bike again all this summer. I'm averaging 17 miles a day since the 1st week of May.

OH my!!! Those red circles around a tick bite are nothing to mess with. Sorry you have been through all this. Good that you are back getting exercise and doing better.
