Last weekend my family from the East Coast came to visit for 4 days. It was 4 glorious days of hanging out at the pool, games, karaoke, drinking and of course, good food. I had my share of all of it BUT I kept it to a dull roar in hopes of not gaining too much. I was on my feet A LOT and when that happens, my legs usually swell. If I don't get proper sleep, I tend to retain water also. If I drink, it adds so many calories and I end up with no deficit at the end of the week.
After my family left and it was back to work, I woke up that first morning and the scale read 227 and some oz. UGH I was so disappointed to see a gain of over 5lbs. I could see the swelling in my legs and my rings felt kinda snug so I prayed it was all water. 5 pounds of water? sheesh! Anyway, I was a good girl for the remainder of the week. Feels good seeing an even lower number than before the 4 day chaos LOL.
