So this week has been pretty terrible. Everyday brings a new crisis! My vacation is around the corner and honestly if it weren't I'd probably have a nervous breakdown. My diet has been off but I've kept my calories under control even though my food choices haven't been great. They could have been so much worse.
Wednesday, I was getting ready to go to the gym and found a lice (louse) in my hair. I spent almost 18 hours bagging up everything in my house and treating everything and treating and combing everyone's hair with the lill 2 inch comb. I was the only one that had it. Thank God! And what a miracle that I found the bug in my hair and the nits before they hatched. Or it would have been 10X worse. I must have gotten it from work. I haven't been anywhere else. I still have everything in bags. Every morning I rewash what I was wearing and my linens. I hope to God that it's gone.
I went to the gym today. Very excited to try to do deadlifts at my gym. I actually worked up the courage to walk into to the "shark pit" but must have looked like a complete weirdo just standing there looking around. They don't have a barbell, barbell clips, or a squat rack or floor space for it at You fit. I went up to the counter to ask how people deadlift here and the guy said "it's not that kind of gym" 😢😒 They have small barbells with weights attached to them with weird angled handles. the weights are shaped like octagons and it made it really awkward to do but I did them the best I could.

Friday June 21st
7 minute jog
deadlifts:
2 sets, 5 reps 30#
3 sets, 5 reps 60#
3 sets 3 reps 70#
hip abduction: 5 sets, 10 reps 50#
hip adduction 5 sets, 10 reps 50#
wall balls with 4# ball: 3 sets, 15 reps
Incline crunches: 2 sets of 50, 5 sets of 10 pulses
Atl twist crunch: 100
Tried to get into plank position but had pain in the stomach (might have hernia :/)

Sunday June 16th workout
Jog 5 minutes
Lat pull down 30 reps 40#
Assisted pull up at 78#: 4
Tricep press 2 sets, 20 reps 30#, 3 sets 5 reps 40#
Super sets with 8# weights:
4 sets, 10 reps: chest press, bicep curl, tricep kickback, lateral raises, and over head press (8 reps)

My glutes and hamstrings are already sore so I guess the weird deadlifts were effective. my elbows are hurting too though. Probably from the odd angle.
70.1 kg Lost so far: 24.7 kg.    Still to go: 0 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Ok I suck. You are working 10x harder than me 👍🏾😁 You are a machine! ...but, you're gonna need to find a new gym, you need that bar to do your dead lifts and a squat rack (a smith machine would be even better). This is for *you*. Basically you know you can do it. You can crush this thing.... Anyway, let me drag my lazy ass to the gym today... Haha!

Omg I went through the lice thing when my kids were in school, what a nightmare! Thank goodness you caught it early and no one else had them! Hopefully your vacation will be here soon, I know you’re ready for it! ❤️ And great job with your workout!!!

Oh no critters! I opened a library book with bedbugs some weeks ago (in bed) but thankfully they did not spread so that was a close one. I think you are doing very well considering

You still worked out and with new equipment! That's a win! The lice - no, no, no! Good job with getting that taken care of. When my kids were in grade school, lice was always going around. I used to rinse my girls hair with vinegar on a regular basis to avoid them getting lice. I even told their teachers that if my daughters ever come home with lice, they will be staying home, because I will not cut their hair in order to get rid of the lice. Their hair was really long, so cutting it was not an option. Hope vacation time comes soon.😃

Lice is some sort of nightmare created to punish hard-working mothers. The nit combing is bad enough and then you have to vacuum and do linens, stuffed animals, etc. At least you spotted it early and hopefully got rid of it. Every time my stepdaughters came to visit, I had to treat them for lice. Their house must have been infested, poor babies.

I really hope the lice are gone. I’m going to leave everything in bags 😆😆 I had my mom go back through my hair this morning too. Then I went to the gym. It was practically empty. And I noticed then have a squat rack!! It looks different and it usually has a bench under it. They do have a Smith machine. I don’t know how the heck to use that thing but it will require me to wait in line to use it. There are always guys standing by it. I didn’t think you could deadlift from it but this morning I saw the safety guards are removable so I guess I need to do leg day on Saturday mornings from now on 😄😄

The easy bars go up to 80# I could deadlift 95# 2 sets 4 reps, so yeah the easy bars are not gonna cut it.

I deadlift on Smith machines all the time :)

Treat for the lice again in 7 days. That is the recommendation to ensure the little buggers are eradicated.
