not good broke my no food 6 day fast this morning dizzy and unable to walk cold sweet and shaking. 12 yrs later still unable to eat food an still dizzy unable to walk. I used the mojo keto meter and last nite went to bed with reading 2.2 and this morning woke up to 3.2. that is danger when over 3.0. I was almost in shock cause that is when you go into ketoacidosis. how can these people talk about a 40day water fast and no problems. Thank god I bought this meter last week. I am slowly getting better but today could not leave the house and still weak. eating lots of carbs now to raise my blood sugar back an lower my ketons. I did lose 10 lbs in 6 days fasting but this is to severe to try again. I have done many 4 and 5 day fast and always get hungry but not this time so I kept going. so only three and four 4 day fast in my future.

I think it is fairly normal with high keto readings on extended fasts. The danger would be if your bloodsugar was also high at the same time. 3 does not sound that high but I don't know what measuring scale you use.

Try a less extreme form of intermittent fasting, e.g.. skipping breakfast. Most of the research I've seen suggests it has the same benefits but with much less health risk. Extended fasting is not so different from anorexia - please take care of yourself!

Al those symptoms are very los BS which is so so dangerous. Id highly recommend revisiting intake as this can lead to some very unpleasant consequences.

Sounds like you have hypoglycaemia... I used to get them but corrected that with a proper diet. Your body gets used to the amount of sugar you put in your system, so it produces less glucose to accommodate for the amount you put into your system every day. So then your blood sugar levels drop through out the day causing you to feel dizzy, weak and sweaty. Sometimes you can get shakes. Fasting seems like a terrible idea if you’ve got hypoglycaemia, until you correct that by cutting out a lot of sugary foods, I wouldn’t recommend fasting

don't forget that keto can make you very low sodium and make your kidneys work really hard

I listened to a fasting expert recently who said that you will know when the fast should end. It sounds like you listened to your body and corrected the problem. Let us know how it goes over the next few days. Hope you are feeling better, Fred.
