maintaining weight with a lot of effort. 1800 calories per day, careful about macros. and hungry. I know this isn't a great maintenance, i.e. lifestyle, plan. but I feel like I need a radical reboot. I find that I'm exhaust even when the day hasn't been very productive. wondering if I'm wasting energy on worry, instead of using it wisely on productive activities. physically and mentally. esoteric, but practically this has been a life long issue. unhappy at (fill in the blank), unwilling to give up the (relationship, job, habit) that isn't working, and perpetuating the cycle.

today I'm wondering if there is still time to change. I've always thought that people give up on life when they can't see another path forward. it's so easy to see when it's someone else. why is it so very hard to effect change for the one person in the world I can actually control.

Why don’t you go up 3 weeks to 2500 calories(you will gain weight, don’t look at the scale) than decrease to 2100 (decrease-100 per week until you get to 2100) maybe that will boost up your metabolism

Humans are intrinsically biased towards the status quo. You have forged your own path before and can certainly do it again. Just decide. Let's go!

well it sounds like you know what changes you need to make in life. finding a way to just be happy in life is at least half the battle when it comes to weight and health. just keep trying. find things that 'nurture your soul'. those things are typically talents you were born with. by doing those things daily, you will feel better. for most people it is something creative but can also be something physical. lots of possibilities, depending on the person such as building or fixing things, gardening, design or art, puzzles, etc.

Hang in there, make no decisions when down. Although I know you won't; You're always a level headed man. Perhaps the spring season will help give you some joy.

I like Adam’s advice... make no decisions when down and allow spring and it’s promise of renewal, rebirth be your guide

Do you think you may have depression? Some of the language you're using is indicative of it.

I can relate to you 100%. Having a toxic job, relationship, etc. can really wreck havoc with our bodies. I am in the process of getting rid of toxicity in my life and learning to take care of myself and put myself first. This is helping with my stress, mood and hunger levels, which is helping my body come back to a balanced state and do what it needs to do. You will get through this slump. We are rooting for you! ☺
