MrsMagyk's Journal, 20 Oct 18

Sorry, I haven't posted in awhile. I went off of my diet and didn't work out as much as I usually do. I had some issues come up with my bi-polar disorder. It makes it hard for me to do anything. I went to the doctor and he adjusted my medication on Tuesday. I can say that I am starting to feel better. So that's good. I must be because I am writing this post.

I posted some month's back about having to move. My parent's and my hubby's mom want us to stay. We have decided to stay put for now. We were concerned about having to replace the roof, air conditioning unit, and the furnace. My dad is a jack of all trades and he said that the furnace is fine, so that's good. If we have to, we can live without central air. Windows can always be opened. The roof has been patched a few times, but nothing major, thankfully. We will have to save up to get a new roof. I am trying to stay positive about our situation.

My daughter isn't getting bullied anymore. She isn't hanging around with that group of kids anymore. She has made some new friends and we are happy about that. They seem to treat her well. Her weight has stayed the same. I think she is finally realizing that she needs to eat healthier. I just wish that she would try and be more active outside of school. She is not considered overweight, she is in the normal range. Some of the weight is going to her stomach and thighs. That's what I am worried about. She started a new medicine, so that is probably why.

My hubby has continued to eat healthy, for the most part. He has been exercising with me. He goes back to the doctor in December to get his cholesterol checked. Other that that, he has been doing fine.

I am going to get back on track again. Sorry for the long post, it's just been awhile since I posted. Everyone is so nice on here and I appreciate the support. I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Great to have you back! Being bipolar is so tough sometimes - glad you are getting back to feeling better - I know when it strikes I have a hard time caring about anything. Sending good thoughts about getting everything fixed up the way you would like. I am so happy for your daughter - nobody deserves to be bullies no matter what!

Sorry for the recent rough journey, but glad things are looking up for you and your daughter. You have a wonderful opportunity to be a good nutritional example to her. I pray that the meds really help.
