CherBru's Journal, 29 Mar 08

I lost 0.5 pounds this week. I exercised everyday. I weighed in at 182 last Saturday and started my exercise routine then. My weight was up for days after beginning then just yesterday came back to the 182. Today I am down 0.5 pounds. Not much but I'll take it!

My muscles were screaming last evening when I was doing the Biggest Loser DVD! It seems harder instead of easier.

Does anyone use an exercise ball? I am thinking of getting one.

Good luck to everyone as we begin week 2!

You might want to give your muscles a day off from the DVD and let them heal. Great job with the exercise! I'm glad you showed a loss afterall. You've worked HARD for it.

After reading several journals this morning I have noticed a lot of people showing gains or smaller than usual losses today. I think it is because of all of the increased exercise that everyone is doing for the challenge. So next week will most certainly show greater losses for everyone once their bodies get accustomed to the new routine. GO TRAILBLAZERS GO!

That 0.5lbs is great, especially given that it follows a week in which you lost an incredible 4lbs! You've done such a great job this week with all that exercise, I'm sure you're retaining a bit of fluid in those poor, aching muscles, so I'd expect another big loss next week! I've got an exercise ball, although it's a bit too big for me, so I don't use it that much. They are good though! GO TRAILBLAZERS!!!

I can totally relate to the more exercise=not enough weight loss problem at the present time! I'm sure we'll lose the retained water and let our bodies adapt soon and see some good numbers on the scale soon...Meanwhile I'm ignoring my scale (or at least not putting too much stock in it). I do have a question for you. I noticed that you mentioned having the 10 min. dvd series--now I've owned them for over a year, and haven't even taken them out of the wrapping! Wanted to ask you how do you find them? Are you liking them? Also, thanks for posting the comprehensive list of healthy food snacks--gave me great ideas...!

I do like the 10 minute solution. The one I have cost $10 at Bestbuy. It comes with an exercise band. The biggest loser dvd is good too. I have a DVD to use with a ball that I bought from overstock last year. It is still in the wrapper...I don't have a ball yet. :-) I am planning on getting on and trying it. I saw someone post that they used theirs to sit on while on the computer. I suppose that would help with balance. Have a great week!
