Weekday walk number 20: (just a walk to/from a local vendor we work with) 1.8 miles in 46 minutes, at 2.3 mph - so, I wore a long-sleeved shirt... not a cloud in the sky (sweat)... only shaded about half the route... but the shirt is a 2X, not a 5X (whoop, whoop)!

If you don't sweat you you won't lose weight.

@proctorleo - not true - perspiration is the body's reaction to the thermic load placed upon by it's environment (i.e. workouts raise body temp, body attempts to cool itself by releasing available water... not fat), thus you lose 'water weight'. To lose "fat", muscle groups pull 'energy' from surrounding fat tissues once available sugars are expended, cellular waste (by-product) is wicked out of those areas of your body, to the kidneys, and then urinated out.

Very nice indeed! I've found that there are MANY times we could walk, but choose to drive, or bus, to a location. What was once a forced effort is now considered beneficial! Also, you've reached one of my undocumented goals, getting into a couple of 2X shirts I have in the closet that I've never been able to wear! Keep on!

@crankybuzzard - thanks, brother - 2X shirts are only the first of many smaller sizes! @dboza, @purplesammyeater - thanks a lot, appreciate it!

Wearing smaller clothes is such a motivation to me. I bought a dress recently as a motivation dress a dress I figured I could wear in the spring. It's about 4to 6 sizes below was I was wearing at my highest weight. I was able to zip it up. Can't breathe in it or walk around in it and now it may be too big come spring but that's okay it was a thirst store find and it made my day.

When I really need to be motivated, I go try on new clothes. What a pick-me-up when something that I perceived to be too small actually fits. It is also a motivator to see how awful I look in something that is too tight.
