Checking on calories in Lentils - FS says 678 in one cup!! Google says 116 calories, cooked, in a cup, Healthy Eating and medicalnewstoday says 230 calories per cup, who knows what to believe?? I think I will stay away from lentils. As I see it, FatSecret has it way wrong.

I think be that the FS figure is 1 cup, uncooked. For cooked lentils, it says 323. It's still probably a good idea to stay away from them, if you're doing Atkins, though, because that same cup has almost 37g of carbs.

They are packed with good stuff like fiber and protein though! Still a healthy, filling choice. If you are unsure about total calories, weight them dry before cooking and record that
