Yesterday's birthday party was lots of fun with family and fellowship. Our sweet Sarah is 12 going on 16 and beautiful inside and out. There was however an undercurrent of concern all day because the kid's little dog, Annie, couldn't be found. We were afraid someone had taken her since she is a purebred cairn terrier. Just before dark Sarah, Valerie, and I trekked across the cornfield to a tree lined creek east of their house and looked to see if Annie had gotten in there and couldn't get out. Pretty soon was saw Landon's pickup leave and go west, we thought he and his dad had decided to check the road on that side. A little later he drove the pickup along side us in the field and said Annie had been found along the road where a vehicle had hit her. At least we know for sure what happened to her and she is home and buried by the swing set where she loved to play along side the kids. She will be missed so much.
