BuffyBear's Journal, 23 Oct 11

Just took a minute to look at yesterday's disaster of a Food Diary. Beside my unexpected encounter with the Amish Cheese Curd, my biggest downfall is not including raw veggies. Note to self - this is basic stuff - don't be so stupid!

Bren - when I go an entire day without eating one raw vegetable - it is STUPID!

Buffy - LOL! Stupid you are NOT! Just took a peek, not bad at all. Yes, the veggie thing is a bit out of balance, proteins slightly high - so it kinda throws everything 'ever so slightly' off w/ regards to Ratio's - but this was all good stuff! (except the sweetners, which I know you aren't giving up anytime soon :) You're doing it...stay focused and get through another week... just keep going!!! Much Love.

Jen - We got addicted to Amish Cheese Curd in northern NY but we just started to be able to get it in NC. I can still eat it but have to sacrifice some other calories to fit it in.

Paula - The reason I am so mad it that I set some new goals yesterday morning and by yesterday evening I had blown it.

Buffy,Don't beat yourself up...I find that with the weather getting colder,I haven't eaten raw veggies some days, but I'm eating lots of cooked veggies..Love,love,love Amish cheese..I try not to buy it because it doesn't love me back. Have a good afternoon, nonna

Nonna - You are right - in hot weather I crave the raw veggies. With the colder temps I may need to do a little more planning to fit them in.

Don't worry about it - I got KFC and ate potato wedges since there was no cole slaw... the cole slaw is probably full of sugar anyway. Every day is a new day to start over with your eating and you can get back on track right away if you want. Try to remove items from your place - or have others eat them - if you're too tempted by those foods. I have craved Chex mix lately, not exactly totally unhealthy but not good either with its high carbs and tons of salt...

Yvonne & Glenn - I appreciate it. Have done well so far. Gave up the chili so I could have some nuts and cheese.
