Draglist's Journal, 08 Mar 16

Woke at 214.0, up .4 from yesterday. Huge water retention. Likely a result of the meds. So long as I can discern it from body fat, I'm cool. Targeting 1655 calories today. UPDATE: OK, my body is screwing with me. Ate my normal day (coconut oil coffee, low salt cottage cheese, protein powder, Quest bar, almonds). Also walked 4.7 miles today. Came home at 7 pm and weighed 214.6 with a massive additional water gain. Uncool! UPDATE 2: Did 72 minutes of treadmill at 3 mph while I read my reports, etc. Hit 16K steps and 9.5 miles today. Made it back to 211.0. Still have huge water in me. My body water percent hasn’t been 62.5% for many moons. Ate exactly on my calorie goal. Going to use an old friend -- red wine -- to see if I can evaporate some of this water overnight. It’s worked in the past! (Calories will apply to tomorrow’s total)...

Such a shame that meds that are meant to help us have such side effects. A bit like Alice in the Looking Glass.
