Woke at 218.6. Up nearly 5 pounds from yesterday. Had a few drinks last night and ended up snacking. Got three days to flush it out. At least all the goodies are almost gone. UPDATE: Ate some cottage cheese and then forced myself outside for a six-mile walk. First half, my heart rate was solidly above the max zone (average about 175 bpm). Second half, I averaged from 120 to 130. So, I have no idea what’s going on… but got in the miles. Weighed 215.4 upon my return, so a nice eight-pound gain over Thanksgiving. UPDATE 2: Went out to a movie and a sushi dinner tonight. Ate more crap when I got home, up to 2774 calories. Last two days of the month will be VERY light on calories!

I hear you about the goodies. My hubby bought me fudge last night! It was good.

Bill.... was your speed in the beginning faster to justify the increased heart rate?

Bill, I'd suggest shooting your doctor a note via their online system if possible about that fluctuating heart rate. It's better to catch something early!

With spiritspell.... Glad you're seeing a doctor. I thought all was well but decided to see the cardiologist to make sure as I wanted to up my exercise...he gave me a clean bill of health and on second thought suggested a stress test which found the silent heart attack.

Carbs are evil in excess, do the same to me just not as extreme. I do notice that when I exercise it's easier to get my heart rate up in the peak range in the beginning, then I've got to work harder to get there after the first time.
