Asian chicken salad sounds good. Glad you have a place to spend Xmas Eve. I don't like to drive after dark either.

Thanks for the update. Glad you are OK. Don't be too hard on yourself this is December.

Thanks Morticia! It was pouring down rain this morning and I didn't feel like driving to the grocery store. So no salad today and probably not tomorrow. Don't feel like cooking and I've eaten one roll or sleeve of Ritz crackers. I have lots of food in the freezer and pantry but I'm just lazy today

Try not to be to hard on your self this time of year is hard on everyone it's okay to be feeling a bit down 👇. Do what you can to left your spirits we support you and think you're great remember when you can it's okay to take a bit more time. Boost your mental health with your friends and family and fall back on us when that fails winter is bad for depression. This year suicide has risen to the third highest reason for death for females in the US, it is imperative that we all take time to care for our mental health as both (males and females) as much as we are caring for our physical health. Remember that we have your back when you need us. 😊

Thanks Liv! Still haven't heard back from my doctor's office. If I stay off my feet my knee really does seem to start healing. But I can't stay off my feet all the time.

I cannot say it is exactly the same thing but the times I have had an issue with hip or knees or something like that... staying off it has been the thing to do. No way around it. Of course it all depends

Thanks Leah. I'm not depressed, just tired of the knee pain and not knowing what happened to cause the issue and not sure how to fix it. I've been listening to Christmas music, watching favorite movies and watching the birds, squirrels and other wildlife coming to my yard to eat the peanuts and sunflower chips I put out for them. But it's been over 6 weeks.

Liv, A few years ago I somehow hurt my lower back. X-Ray showed nothing. I remember I spent 2-3 weeks on the sofa with a heating pad and then I was fine. I hate not knowing how I hurt myself.

Well I can understand that did they ever get you in to get your X-ray? I know you're waiting for your regular doctor to have time to get you in did that ever happen I get a little foggy sometimes with my medication on the times and dates sorry about that. I do understand about being tired of being ill or sick I'm tired of being ill. I had to start back taking back my other immune suppressant and it's got my stomach tied in knots today but at least I ate some good food earlier. I'm trying not to dread tomorrow where they push the audit back my boss was trying to get me to go in at 3:30 in the morning, 😩. I told him I just couldn't do it it would mean a 12-hour day and I just have to have the ability/energy to do other things in my day besides working a Speedway; the kids are off school now and they have to have me to hang out with and cook for them. And of course I want to make progress I have presents to wrap now and I have organizational tasks to do to get ready for the upcoming holiday.

Thanks Leah! I had the X-Ray over a month ago and it showed mild arthritis and bone spurs. I've seen my regular doctor twice and he gave me a cortisone shot last week that didn't work. He said the next step would be an MRI. So just waiting. Going to work at 3am and working a 12 hour day sounds awful! At least being retired I am able to baby myself at times like these!

If it's been more than 5 days since he decided to get MRI call the office and check in that it was actually ordered.

Thanks Redrose. I called today and my doctor didn't order the MRI but is referring me to an orthopedist. Because of the holidays I'm not sure when the appointment will be. The knee has been better since yesterday, but probably because I am spending very litt!e time walking

Do you have the ability to use a bath (no shade my Mom wasn't able to get in and out easily until she had a special one installed)? Perhaps espsm salt's would help speed up the heal process a bit and increase the circulation in the area? I've recently been using them for other reasons to increase the communication between nerves in my legs, but to my understanding they can be used for other reasons as well for healing, and they don't seem to be too terribly expensive.

Leah, I do have a bath tub in TBE guest bathroom and I've used it a few times to soak the knee in warm water.
