Sounds like a good idea. I don’t really do challenges, but I’ll bet you’ll find some takers.

I did challenges when I first started on FS and even originated a few (no Halloween candy, The Daniel Fast). But this might motivate me.

Thanks Diana. I think I may set something up to be personalized by anyone who does the challenge. Like "maintain" from Thanksgiving to January 1st. Or lose 2, 3,5 or 10 pounds. For me to lose anything I know I can't have egg nog or peanut brittle. A tiny piece of pie is usually okay. But tiny.

Morticia, I have to resist peanut brittle this year. At the holidays there is always a,truck set up in the parking foot of the local grocery store selling See's candy. One year I bought 3 boxes Of peanut brittle. I think they were 1 1/2 pounds each. I bought v them for my nieces and nephew. Before Christmas I ate 2 of the boxes all by myself! Had to go buy 2 more boxes. So absolutely cannot have a bite of peanut brittle this year!

I thought about it, but also considered that if I couldn't meet the goal, I'd be bringing in the New Year on a sour note. Maintenance +/- a couple of pounds for Jan 1 might be a realistic, achievable goal that unless one goes totally hog wild is also achievable. Given the leeway to gain a couple it wouldn't be so morally discouraging come Jan 1 either should one fall into the food as celebration trap.

RcGuenth, the only way I could have peanut brittle would be at someone else's house where I wouldn't want to look like a pig so I'd have maybe a,tiny piece

Thanks Annisworking, I'm thing about a challenge to meet your own holiday goals. For some it may be maintain weight, some may be to lose or gain a certain number of pounds, some, like me to avoid some trigger foods at all costs!

I intend to eat well and exercise through the holidays and continue losing 12 lb a month. Simple. No over-eating. NONE. My relatively high fat/protein percentages keep me satiated and no cravings or diet cheating. I love it. (it's not keto, just saying)

Thanks Jipper! If you are losing 12 pounds a month you probably don't need a Holiday challenge! Congratulations!
