Afternoon at the beach + no sunblock + uncovered farmer's tan = SUNBURN! Ouch. But feeling a little better today...I'll avoid direct sunlight until later this afternoon. Should have listened to my wife who told me I was getting red! We bought a pretty cool kite at theboardwalk last night and will give a go to flying it later on.

I indulged a bit too much over the past couple days with food, even though it's a calorie deficit on paper high fat, sodium and carbs have me up in weight, I can feel it. Dinner last night was boardwalk fries, ice cream, and nuts. Will try to make today a better one food wise. Off now for a bike ride then probably going shopping in Fenwick Island.

Sorry about the burn. Just a warning your body will hold onto extra water until the burn is mostly healed. I had a sunburn and gained a few pounds until it was mostly gone.

Never heard before that sunburn will create water retention. When I got sunburned earlier this year on the lazy river, I thought maybe the water itself was soaked into my body, from being in the water over 4 hours. Now I am thinking that almost any injury could cause the body to retain extra water for healing.

Sounds like a great holiday, apart from the sunburn! My mom had skin cancer, I stay out of the sun too, Glen.
