Liv Lite's Journal, 01 May 23

Welcome to Motivational Monday! It's May! It's Monday of a new month which means a new time to rededicate ourselves to our health journeys.

What is your WHY? Why do you want to lose weight? (or gain). What are your reasons to continue down the healthy path?

I have to admit I am not exactly sure of my WHY right now. Of course, I want to move better, walk everywhere, smaller clothes, more energy; just none of it is that YES! passionate driving force. I trust I will find it as I am living more out in the world and less inside my head :)

I AM dedicated to no longer being a clutterbug with endless junk and mystery boxes. That's what I'm tackling this week! My WHY for that? I want to live in a beautiful, functional, clean space.

Wishing you a successful week of Working for your WHY!!! :)

Great post @livlite! My why? My health, my honey, my family! I need lots of energy and flexibility to play with my beautiful fun gkids!! And besides I’ve worked hard since age 13 so I don’t plan to just keel over at 65. It will be my turn to play in retirement soon:)

That was a great post, thanks Kiddo… my why? I didn’t really come to lose weight even though I knew I was 45 over. I have always burned my calories walking 10km a day and I never felt heavy. I just woke up to my unhealthy eating habits that motivated me to start looking around - I have never tried to lose weight before. I think my mental health comes first, but I want to feel better in every way… other than healthy looking, appearances are not a factor in the least. I don’t count calories, I watch nutrients and the calories seem to behave themselves. I don’t snack anymore. The occasional Lindt chocolate and that about all. I have had great luck with the mind game so far, in that I don’t seem to be tempted to go back to my unhealthy ways. Before I came here, I seem to have learned how to become my own best friend and that seems to be the biggest difference for me. I am focused, but I am not hard on myself when things don’t go as expected. I have been retired for two decades, but I still troubleshoot for old clients. Have a really great week, lovely to hear from you, :) DV
