Today was very hot here, 88 degrees Fahrenheit! Now, that isn't so bad mind you if you are sitting by a pool somewhere in your bathing suit, but I have to stand out by the construction site in the dust, wearing hard hat, plastic vest, long pants, and steel-toed boots. Uck. Very hot.

I weighed myself at home tonight and am up 2 pounds from Sunday. I should have gone to Weight Watchers, but I didn't. So, in a way it serves me right because I am not weighing on the same scale as last week. I am encouraged though, because the fat-meter on the scale says I have lost 4 percent fat! Down from 39 percent to 35 percent - yeah for me! And I am going to weigh myself again before dinner too, since I have been drinking so much water, maybe it's water weight gain. I don't know if I really lost 4 percent fat, but I feel good at the idea.

Now I have to be honest. I have not been taking this process 100 percent to heart. Now that I am eating out of my lunchbox, and buying down the street, I realize that I eat a lot of extra food that I wasn't tracking. Gah! I have such a bad habit! Gah. I eat all day long, snacks and treats and extra meals. It's a wonder I have lost at all. *Sigh* I should look back - I think I said this before.

New start. I thought about doing Nutrisystem, but maybe I should just quit being a big baby and follow the Weight Watcher program in the book. I couldn't keep to the program in the online-meal plan, though, will the book help? What is wrong with me?

Ok, enough whining. Every day is a new day, and starting tonight I keep on track. I like the Hungry Caterpillar challenge - very cute!

Hang in there - enduring the heat. Perhaps your body is holding onto fluids to "hydrate" itself for the heat. I have seen the Nutri System ads - don't know much about the program. What you are doing will work if you stay with it. The 4% body fat loss is great progress. Keep the faith!

I second that ... hang in there!!! You'll find your groove soon!!! I'm a fan of doing your own thing ... but sometimes a plan can help you get moving in the direction you would like!! I've tried almost every plan on the planet ... except surgery ... counting works for me.

what i liked about weight watchers online was checking off the servings of daily requirements. what i didn't like was the fee. recording what i eat on FS seems to be working. and like madaboutmoose, i have tried it all.

I hated Nutri System. It wasn't for me. I'm not at all saying you won't loose weight. It was easy, but I didn't enjoy the food. It also left no real room for learning to do it on your own. If I don't have a way to make educated choices when I go out, then should I stay in for a year while I loose weight and do nothing? Stick with what you are doing. 4% body fat sounds awesome I would take no weight loss if I could see a difference in my body fat levels. Awesome job!
