As mentioned yesterday, I’ll be sharing some of my favorites from your tips to get rid of the 39 pounds I still need to lose. From Wholefoodnut – in order to visualize the damage that the excess weight is doing to my joints, pick up something that weighs 39 pounds and carry it around for a while. So tonight I bought 39 (16 oz) bottles of water - as pictured. Trust me, I didn’t carry it around too long!
I decided to take this one step further. I am keeping the water in the basket. Every day that I lose a pound I get to take one of the bottles out and drink it. This will give me a tangible record of my progress.

Wow! What a creative and great idea both for visualization and accountability! I have been picking up bags of sugar to see how much I have taken off my old body but your idea seems to be much more motivating. Think I am going to be a copycat, my dear! Thanks....

Amyskids - this is the first time I've ever tried these "visuals". Time will tell how well they will work.

Gwen - Copy away! I had debated what to use for the weights. Then it occurred to me that I can actually drink the water so nothing will be wasted.

That is a fantastic idea! Let me tell you that you are also looking pretty damn fantastic too. I loved doing visuals and this has inspired me to do the same again. I still have my crystal beads that I used for each kg I lost....a reminder of how far I have come and where I never want to return.

BuffyBear you are really inspiring me with your visualization ideas.
Seeing as I am a lover of all things relating to images, I found this cool idea:
New App Shows What You Would Look Like Post-Weight Loss. Do you ever picture yourself a few pounds slimmer?
Thanks to new app Visualize You, users can now better visualize their post-weight loss bodies.
The app allows users to transform an old photo and generate a realistic depiction of their bodies at a new target weight.
The app was developed as a method of motivating weight loss by creating a visual cue.
HERE IS THE LINK: I AM GOING TO TRY IT ON MY FAT FACE

Tracy - I remember those crystal beads. Sure takes up a lot less room than 49 pounds of water - LOL

Moo Me - Am at work right now so I'll have to try your App and check out your pic tonight. Thanks for sharing!

Love it!!! Great idea! Me, I would put the water bottle in my car. I keep them in there so when I run out of water in my cup I have a quick refill handy when there is no handy convenience store or fast food place to refill it.

BB - I am still around and follow your journey. My hat goes off to you for your drive an determination. Keep up the good work. And please remember we all fail and this is simply part of growth. If it never rained you would not appreciate the sun -- :-) Shine on. - DC
