Yesterday was the 2nd day of getting in over 15,000 steps. So happy, my goal is 7800-11,000 minimum. Getting in walks with the dog of 6000 steps or more really help. And it's surprising how many steps I get in every day just around the house. I already have 1900 steps this morning and I'm not even dressed yet at 7am. But I've been up since 4:30 and get in alot of steps going back and forth between the kitchen and master bathroom getting dog food, cat food and insulin for my biggest cat Marco, and then feeding the feral cat that waits for me on my porch.
Bobby had an appointment at the vet yesterday and this is probably something that would only happen in a tiny town. I got there for his 11:30 appointment and my sister was also there with her dog for an 11:30 appointment to get a shot. Bobby was so excited to see "Aunt Nancy" and his "cousin" Maddie. While waiting for the vet I noticed 2 of Bobby's toes on a back foot were red and swollen, maybe even bleeding. The vet checked it and poor Bobby had a tiny tick that had burrowed in way down between his toes. I had noticed him licking his foot the night before. He must have picked it up on the very long walk on the dirt trail the day before. We'll stay off the trail until the swelling goes down on his toes.
I may make another meatless stew today. It's so good, with or without chicken and it's quick and easy to make.
