We are supposed to get more heavy rain and winds tonight. The Sacramento news channel keeps saying to be prepared for power outages because of the wind. I'm about 60 miles from Sacramento in an area that will probably get more rain and wind. The winds can be scary. So I've got flashlights and candles ready and put ice in freezer bags so I can put in the refrigerator around food. After so many years of drought I'm glad to have the rain, but it's getting old. Sounds like more storms are lined up out in the ocean to just keep hitting the west coast. I did go to the grocery store to make sure I had enough fruits, veggies and milk to get through 4 or 5 days.

Thanks Morticia and Navy wife - it sounds like the winds are the biggest problem. We may get wind gusts up to 50mph. Not sure how bad that is. I'm just glad I had the huge oak tree close to the house cut down. Hopefully the power will stay on, if not, I'm kinda used to it. The power goes out a few times a year

Yes, I'm glad you got the tree down. I think we were taking down trees at the same time. It makes you feel a lot better. I'm glad you are prepared!:)

Thanks everyone. Lots of rain and scary wind but the power stayed on and now,just before 5am it isn't raining and not much wind. Kat - I may be able to take Bobby for a quick walk a little later before it starts up again. Hope your area is okay. Lots of storms coming in to California. Thanks 2melons no snow just lots and lots of water!

Sounds like you are prepared..my sister lives in Roseville and said rain is very heavy but sounds like you live in a more rural area. Stay safe!💜

Thanks Este.Massage - Woodland is about an hour away by car. I think I stopped there after picking a friend up at the Sacramento airport and driving up 5 on our way to Fort Bragg. We stopped at a Jimboy's, For the best tacos!

Diana, My niece lives in Roseville and that's where I usually go for shopping or meeting old friends for lunch. It's just over a hour away. I'm an hour away from everywhere in all directions it seems like
