abbadabba's Journal, 28 Dec 22

I am almost cleaned up from baking. I am going to keep away from cooking so I use up the food in my freezer. Today I made brussel sprouts salad with apples tangerine almonds olives, pickled radishes and mayo. Pepper and hot sauce. That was good. I have a bag of shredded brussel sprouts that just seems to refill itself so I will get that again. The farm stan sells brussel sprouts for $4 a pound but the shredded ones are 99 cents a pound. Go figure. Made a big bowl and could only get through a quarter of it so I will have the rest for the week. Added a little bit of mayo with some apple cider vinegar and that was delicious.
Still below 160 so I am encouraged for this week and into the new year. Planning to stick to the plan as it seems to be working.

The salad sounds good. I love roasted or stir fried Brussels sprouts. I'll have to look for shredded sprouts.

The $.99 bag of Brussel sprouts are usually older tougher and they use the entire sprout including the tough fibrous ends.
