Annabelle3117's Journal, 01 Aug 22

I have lost 30-35lbs (depending on the day) since I committed to losing weight on April 1st. I dont feel like I've given myself any recognition for that, so I just wanted to say it out loud, acknowledge it and feel successful for a hot second.

I have a long way to go, and this is the second time I've been on this weight loss journey so it's hard to feel accomplished when I constantly remind myself of my failures. Maybe that's a cycle we all get caught up in once in a while. But im still going and that's what's important.

Lots of changes coming up in my life. My youngest son is starting Kindergarten, and my oldest daughter will be a senior. Oh the emotions. On the bright side, with a couple days to myself a week I will be able to recommit to spending time at the gym. Something I used to love. I'm also making a career shift. I am a registered Nurse who will be leaving beside work to step into an office role doing chart review and audits. I am thrilled to get off of the floor, so to speak. Caring for patients is emotionally exhausting, physically demanding, and it gets harder everyday when we are working short staffed but management wants us to do more and more. This change is position will give me better work life balance, and hopefully some peace. I cant stand dreading walking into work every day. So stressful changes, but hopefully lots of positives.

My husband and I are taking the kiddos on vacation next week, before the chaos ensues. One week in the mountains to relax and refocus. Hopefully my weight won't fluctuate too much. Just have to continue to be mindful.

It's good to be back with FS.

35lbs is a great accomplishment don't short yourself on that! and as far as having to do it again I would say the majority of the people on this app have dieted before lost lot of weight and regained most of not all of it back including myself. just keep chugging along and try and make this the last time you have to lose it. that's my goal... good luck
