🌸Welcome to Motivational Monday! Hello new month!🆕 It's August, folks!🙋‍♀️

I was looking online for new bedding 🛏️ and had ventured into that expensive world of luxurious bedding 💰, not currently in my budget. I was lamenting my lack of funds not to buy everything my lil heart desires. I sighed, went back to unpacking a box and walked into my bedroom. I really looked at my quilt. It's new-ish and I remembered how delighted I was when I received it and it was even prettier than expected! That quilt makes me happy and joyful, just looking at it. I love making my bed in the morning and turning it down at night. It goes beautifully in my new place. It's floral, not everyone's taste but I LOVE it. Why do I think I need something else? Who am I trying to impress? 🤔 Isn't ME being excited by it, enough? Thinking back, I have been rather ashamed of my "budget-friendly" choices, thinking I should be living some sort of fanciful life, in furniture, fashion and lifestyle. Well, when I had the means, I did not feel fulfilled by wasting money on other people's ideas of how I should dress and decorate. Even now, I still have some of those overpriced choices that are not ME at all. I was happiest when I travelled, socialized, read books, watched movies, had a challenging career and a cozy place. My happiness has never had anything to do with others' opinions. When am I gonna start learning to just impress ME? All I need to do is to live my life with joy: from healthy foods 🥗 to happy walks to 🎨 artistic & spiritual pursuits to yes, even quilts that make me smile! LOL🤣

✅Lesson going forth: Stop trying to impress; learn to EXPRESS myself!!! 🙌
One method: stop looking at social media fake lives & look only at those that add value to MY life :)
