This week I did well with eating but not enough exercise, so I need to work on that. Still feeling very committed. Our dog sitting ended and I miss him. I have some cleaning to do, and the gym, and then I think I will ask David if I can look at the animal shelter. If he says no- I will go anyhow- but refrain from purchasing. When we got Buster, I specifically said that I was going to bring my daughter out to look at him and instead they called and said he was ready to go. I couldn't decline. On another note- My clothes are starting to fit a bit better but not nearly back to an 8/10. I'm talking about the stretchy 12's and 14's I was squeezing into. And one of my employees had been out the last 3 weeks for some illness and a vacation and when I saw her yesterday, she asked if I had lost weight. On the flip side- I got a massage yesterday- I hadn't been for about 2 years-maybe longer. The first time I went, the woman said she could tell I lifted weights... yesterday she asked if I was still lifting.😔 "DO you even lift, bro?" Oh well. I'll have to get in better shape and then go back. Actually- I need to find a different place. She didn't push hard enough and talked way too much. I need silence and strong man hands.

I got Bobby after I called a rescue group and asked if they had puppies that needed a foster home. I was a foster failure. Sometimes fostering is a good way to see if a dog fits into your household. The rescue group called me a couple weeks ago to see if I was interesting in fostering again. I can't. I just can't adopt another dog right now. Good job with your commitment. It is nice when clothes start to fit better, and then get loose. I'm aways away from that.

DP, all our dogs have been a product of God. I have been gifted with stray or unwanted dogs that have fallen into our arms, and that have been a joy to have. I know your heart aches for Buster, and you want that loving dog NOW! ❤️ But, give yourself some time and let faith lead you to your new life’s joy, don’t force it. But, I am one to talk, I watch pound dogs get homes on Shorts, and have to reel my heart in from jumping up and getting a new dog as well that very moment. They look like they really are sad a crave a home. Give it a little more time, if you can. How did you get Buster?
As for massaging, I hate people who give bad massages...they just rub me the wrong way!!😆

I'm not forcing it, shrewd. There was a beagle at the shelter who no one likes but me. There was a precious 4 month old blue heeler that I know we won't want to just leave when school starts back and I'm at work. Nothing right for us today but I'm ready. Both my girls out with friends, hubby asleep from working overnight and not getting to bed until 1 p.m. House immaculate and already went to the gym. Just bored. Just could use a friend around...not a person friend, a furry friend to go with me on my ground hog expeditions. Having Harley here for a week made me very happy.

My vote, get a dog ASAP! My friend Nan was devastated forever over losing her beloved Rocky. She finally found Cheerio and her heart loved again in about two minutes! I waited seven months after my first kitty passed. When the second one also passed, I didn’t make that mistake again, only waited two weeks. If your heart’s hurting, looking into a rescue’s eyes will solve that in a hurry! There’s a sad animal out there who’s waiting for you, don’t waste a single moment you could be cuddling with them. 😻
