Annabelle3117's Journal, 23 Jan 15

Good morning everyone! Didn't have time to journal when I recorded my weigh in, so I'm back to get that done now.

Down five pounds in two weeks, (16lbs this month) not too shabby. Last time I weighed in I kind of went wild for the weekend, so I know this weigh in could have been better if I wouldn't have done that. That is my motivation to stay focused this weekend during clinicals at the hospital. I will be eating in the cafeteria, but they have lots of soups, sandwiches, and salads so it shouldn't be hard to make a good choice. I just need to stay focused enough to remember to choose wisely. Last round of clinicals I faltered more in the evenings because the family wanted dinner, and I was exhausted and hadn't planned at all for it. Sooo, I went to the grocery store first thing this morning and planned out quick and easy dinners for this weekend. I am prepared to be successful.

Today is my day off, but I have plenty of homework and house work to keep me busy. Hooray... lol.

Have a great day, and weekend!!

You're doing great. 5 lbs in two weeks is a healthy pace to lose, much faster than that long term and you could be losing too much muscle or messing up your metabolism. Keep up the good work and enjoy your day off!

Planning and sometimes making the meals upfront is the way to do it.

The cafeteria at the hospital was one of the best things about that job if you ask me. It's really easy to just focus on getting in meat and veg only and after a while the ladies will know to make your salad without cheese or croutons. And the discount usually makes it almost cheaper than bringing a lunch. Keep in mind though that most nursing stations have little fridges you can stash stuff in if you need to.
