jmb3450's Journal, 15 May 14

I'm taking my mom to a nice restaurant for Mother's Day tonight. I know, a little late but I wasn't in town last weekend. So eating accordingly now, keeping caloric intake low. It's an upscale place not a chain so I can't really know the nutritional value what's on the menu, going to wing it.

Search for the restaurant's menu on-line and check the nutritional content. Some restaurant's list it right on their menu. Make a decision on your order and try your best to stick to it. Not always easy.

Unfortunately nutritional values for their menu items aren't given. I'm not really worried about it, I'll be smart in what I order. I've been there once before but it's been a while, as I recall the portions aren't overly generous especially for the price. But watcha' gonna do, it's where mom wanted to go so that's where we're going.

Anyone in the Frederick MD area looking for a top notch restaurant I highly recommend Monocacy Crossing. Everything was absolutely delicious. I tried to enter everything into my food diary as best I could. I'm over my RDI by at least 200 calories but it was worth it. Best of all mom had a great time.
