I just looked at my journal and see it has been 16 days since I last recorded a weight. I am still trying. I will weigh in soon... for better or worse. Well, I know it will be worse. I am not where I want to be, but I keep reminding myself it isn't worth beating myself up for my imperfections when I am on "the brink" while trying to manage everything else in life. My goals for this week are to make it to the gym three times and manage a few longer walks if my schedule allows. I want to be faithful to record my intake all the time... and eventually weigh in. Last week I was very active, but it wasn't "working out" kind of movement. I have hope life will settle down into a more predictable pattern in the coming days. Here's to a good week for us all!

Life can be so challenging, right? I hope things continue to move in a positive way for you! I too have been finding it hard to get up and actually go to gym...I feel like I do good for a couple of weeks and then fall off and don't care...I'm trying.....💜💜

the thing about life is that it's always life with ups and downs and normal is a subjective thing. live in the now, don't punish yourself and just push forward as best you can. we are all imperfect beings.

Thanks a ton, br_e_co! Calm must be coming! I think part of "being kind" means working harder to stay on track so I am encouraged by my progress. Spiraling down... Or up in this case just makes for misery. I'm working toward a good week. Shrewdness, your encouragement is really meaningful. All we can all do is take one day at a time! I hope your Monday is beautiful! ride Mariel, thank you! There certainly are seasons when it seems there is no time to breathe, and I think that is when it is hardest to forgive failure in ourselves. We just keep going!

Diana, sometimes eating well and getting exercise in seems so easy and the rhythm just works. I get it... Then the opposite is true and it takes everything we've got just to be sort of stable! I'm glad we aren't in this alone!
