Buffy, don't make losing weight hard work. Eat foods you enjoy, cooking is an artistic expression so cook the way you like to cook, and exercise in ways that make you feel good. Even if you feel you have lost ground in losing weight at the speed you think it should your body is better every time you exercise and every time you make good food choices. Ease up on yourself a little your body will respond in it's own time.

It could be just a temporary blip on the scale BB- don't get discouraged. Wholefoodnut had some wise words for you :)

wholefoodnut and newmooney - you are certainly both good Buddies. Thanks for the encouragement.

Do you measure yourself? Maybe it's muscle. I kind of look at it as "what if you weren't watching your diet? Where would the scale be"?

I'll be adding to the net loss for the Easter Challenge, but I don't want that to shadow how you're feeling. :( Is it possible you just need to eat a few prunes, or in your case, spinach? Could it be salt or bloat? How about this: How about being really good today and see what tomorrow brings? I've lost as much as 3 pounds overnight for NO GOOD REASON. Will you do that? We love you, BB!

As hard as you work on what you eat, one day isn't going to make that much difference. Why beat yourself up on a day that you used as a celebration. Just get back in the saddle, woman. NO more negativity. Well done, Erin!

BB, I can't add much to all the wonderful comments already made. I get it. You were feeling so encouraged over the last 3 weeks, and now you're beating yourself up over enjoying yourself on a holiday. As others said, think where you'd be if that was the NORM, and you were just adding insult to injury. Get back to your solid, good habits and move on. Most importantly, "Love yourself!" I finally saw some results after 15 days, a whopping 1.5 lbs. I'm very pleased and will settle for the slow and steady progress. Here's to a great week ahead, with our bodies loving us for getting more exercise and the food being enjoyable in moderation :-)

Thanks !!! I backed off the fruits but did not decrease the carbs as much as I wanted. I am going to continue to work on that this week, and try increasing my fats a bit to see if I feel fuller after a meal. Still have the late night hungries; last night I ate some peanut butter on rice cakes and that helped, but I still have to work harder on that problem. Congratulations everyone and keep the faith !!

BuffyBear, it's all going to be ok. Look where you came from and where you are going. Nothing better than that. Momentary blip in your trip. I know there are times my scale is up because of water, too much salt, or even needing to have a really good BM!! (TMI, I know).....a woman's body is a chemical nightmare sometimes.
